 A day of hope

A day of hope

22/08/2008 5:00:00 AM
Daffodil Day is a day that unites those touched by cancer. The annual Cancer Council event gives hope to those with the disease and their loved ones. The Yass Valley community has always been a generous supporter of Daffodil Day and the Yass Tribune urges everyone to once again get behind the cause today. The Rotary Stall in Meehan Street will be open from 9am with beautiful fresh daffodils and official Daffodil Day merchandise - including teddy bears, footballs, pens and pins. All money raised goes to Cancer Council research, education and patient support programs. As little as $5 can provide support to newly diagnosed patients. Our photo shows June Angel, Deb Barrie, Sharon Scheffler and Gaile Kimber at last year’s Daffodil Day stall.
