The Travelling Tribune ended up in the hands of talented local shooters, Tracey and Glenn Barton, on their tour of Ireland and Scotland recently. During their visit, Tracey and Glenn took time out to visit historic Blarney Castle in Ireland. Local legend has it that kissing the blarney stone bestows the gift of eloquence on the kisser.
The Bartons flew to the Emerald Isle to compete in the ‘Clay Target Down the Line Shooting World Championships’. Glenn finished the meet as the World’s number one ranked junior shooter (21 years and under), while Tracey returned Down Under as the seventh best female shooter in the world – not a bad feat for an 18-year-old.
