Wheelchair roll rolls in again

1/10/2008 5:00:00 AM
Sir Roden Cutler Charities is the charity that helps other charities, and once again will be honouring Yass Valley citizens with a disability and their carers and families by coming to Yass on Wednesday October 22.

As part of the celebrations, The Sir Roden Culter Charity organisers like to publicly recognise deserving persons in the local community. To this end, they are calling for nominations from within the Yass Valley Local Government Area in the following categories:

* Category A – An Individual “suffering distress, sickness, misfortune, disability or helplessness”.

* Category B – A carer supporting a person with a disability

* Category C – An achiever with a disability who has done something amazing in any number of areas…sport, academia, community support and /or counselling.

We hope you can take the time to think about those with a disability or who have been working away quietly in the background supporting someone with a disability and who deserve a bit of public recognition for all their tireless and unseen hard work.

To nominate a person please send a one page summary outlining the reasons for your nomination to Andalini Support Services, Attention: Mary Cochrane, P.O Box 293 Yass NSW 2582.

The closing date for nominations is 5pm Friday October 17.

If you would like further information on nomination please contact either Mary Cochrane on 62262000 or Cathy Campbell on 62269285.
