12:53 PM AEST | Yass Rams under 10s finally enjoyed a home game at Victoria Park. They played a bigger Vikings team who looked like they could have taught the Rams a rugby lesson.
Webeck awarded President’s Trophy
12:47 PM AEST | Young Yass netballer Shannon Webeck was awarded the ACT Netball Junior Championships President’s Trophy.
12:45 PM AEST | Toner Express Yass Magpies remain in second position on the ladder following a hard fought 16-8 victory over Goulburn Bulldogs on Sunday. It wasn’t the most inspiring performance from the Magpies. Compressed attack stifled their scoring opportunities forcing them to resort to kicks in an attempt to break the Bulldogs defensive line.
12:44 PM AEST | The Royal Hotel reserve grade Magpies were overpowered 24-6 by Goulburn Workers Bulldogs last Sunday at Goulburn Arena. Yass pushed their opposition in wet and windy conditions, with scores locked at half-time. Goulburn were made to work hard for the win, only safely securing the competition points in final minutes of the match.

27/06/2008 | Yass Magpies reserve grade were far from shamed in their 36–16 away loss to the top of the table West Belconnen Warriors. From the outset the Magpies made the Warriors aware they were in for a tough contest. Both sides gave nothing away in the opening exchanges and it wasn’t until the 15th minute that the Warriors opened the scoring with a converted try.

25/06/2008 | Yass Roos have shifted their focus to this weekend’s match-up with Gungahlin, a team also undefeated after 11 rounds. The Roos maintained their position at the top of ladder with a scrappy 73-point win over the Cats in Cooma on Saturday.
