This week’s home game against the Belconnen Cats was played in freezing, wet conditions. The parents suffered on the sidelines but the team had great fun in the rain.

The team was led on by Brody Anderson, who was celebrating his 75th junior football game.

The boys played, as always, with great enthusiasm and commitment. They tackled hard and put plenty of pressure on the Cats. They showed a huge improvement in attack with players looking to pass the ball to improve the team’s position. Strong marks were again evident by most players and the goal scoring was shared around. Thank you to our super umpire Jason Anderson for giving up his time once again to control the game and to Terry Lemon who lifted the boys with well deserved praise from the sideline.

Parents’ encouragement awards went to Lachie McMillan, Jeremy Bush, Lachie Jamieson, George Elliot, Oliver Whitehead and Jordan Hudson. The Coach’s subway award went to Josh Kemp for his skills in game tactics and positional play.
