LET ME ADAM, at his third run back from a spell, should be a major force in the Moorebank Welter at Warwick Farm today.
Let Me Adam likes the wet and struck trouble last start. Previously, though, the gelding was a 3.4-length eighth to Typhoon Zed in the group 3 Concorde Stakes and drops considerably in class here. From three previous Warwick Farm attempts, Let Me Adam has notched two wins and a third. Peter Snowden has a strong representation with Gergis and Testimonial, which has the benefit of hard racing condition and a slow track success.
VERDICT: Adam for mine.
GREAT FORM: Certainly the third to Lorne Dancer is now an eye-catching credential for Deltona in the Cabramatta Handicap, a strong restricted-class staying race. The favourite will be Dancing Havana, trained by Gai Waterhouse and a stablemate of Lorne Dancer. Lorne Dancer, following his Rosehill success in which Deltona was third on September 20, has gone on to better races, including his Craven Plate triumph at Randwick on Saturday.
Apart from Dancing Havana, other chances include Detroit Song and Feral Errol, from the Diane Poidevin-Laine stable which produces such worthwhile stayers out of little more than stable hacks.
VERDICT: Deltona to shine.
